"Knowledge, perception and competence of English language of academic staff in public universities"

As part of the activities of the Higher Education Reforms Experts in Kosovo (HEREs), a roundtable discussion “Knowledge, perception and competence of English language of the academic staff of public universities in Kosovo”, took place on June 20, 2023, at the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”.
This roundtable discussion had the focus on the best practices of experts in the field, as well as the challenges in its implementation from the perspective of educational institutions in Kosovo. The participants had the opportunity to debate about the difficulties they encounter in the internationalization process since the academic staff is not competent enough to speak in English, and the students also do not possess it at the right level. These two facts directly affect mobility on the one hand, as well as the lack of programs offered in the English language.
